OUR HISTORY
Inspired by passion for hospitality and sharing the culture of Mexico, Velas Vallarta – the first of Velas Resorts properties–, was built in 1991. It soon became known for its generous All-Inclusive concept featuring first-class service. Following its success, resorts Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit (2002) and Casa Velas (2005) joined the family. Grand Velas was conceived to redefine three key travel experiences: accommodations, gastronomy, and facilities. With the opening of Grand Velas Riviera Maya (2008) and Grand Velas Los Cabos (2016) there are now five extraordinary properties, to which Mar del Cabo, the first boutique hotel under the European Plan concept, added in 2019. The concept of Luxury All-Inclusive reaches a new level at the new adults-only property that opens its doors in late 2023, Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos.
